The word healing refers to the natural process by which the body heals itself and ‘healing’ does not always mean ‘curing’. Instead it is more to do with restoring balance in the first instance.
Change may occur in different areas of our lives including diet, sleep habits, exercise, spiritual practise, therapies, medical help, improving mental and emotional health, changes in attitudes and intentions, nurturing ourselves and others.
Reiki is a method which differs from others. It is not directed to achieving specific ends or personal goals. The Reiki is believed to direct itself naturally to wherever it is most needed.
It is more likely to give the recipient what he/she needs rather than what they want.
Reiki encourages us to trust and have faith in ourselves and the universe and go with the ‘flow’.
Reiki flows automatically when the practitioner’s hands are placed on or above the body.
The energy flows through our own energetic system first and is drawn by the recipient.
It never drains the practitioner; instead it is really beneficial each time it is shared.
The Reiki naturally flows where required without direction. Each Reiki session is different and individual. Sometimes warmth, cold or tingling sensations may be felt.
Recipients sometimes see colours and images.
Sessions are often extremely relaxing and often recipients fall asleep or feel very peaceful.
It can be given on a couch or chair and recipients are fully-clothed.
No manipulation or substances are involved and it can be used in conjunction with other therapies and orthodox medicine. Each session costs £40
Concessions are available. See Bach flower remedy consultation pricing /call for information.
